SpellingTiles is a now free to access powerful phonic-based spelling program designed to assist teachers, tutors and students learn how to spell words phonetically. It can assist in the implementation of most English phonetic based programs as any word can be split into its sound components for word building.
SpellingTiles provides an efficient alternative to traditional forms of spelling and reading teaching by providing tools to enhance lessons. Inputted words are automatically split into individual letter tiles which can be dragged around, combined, randomised, organised and hidden with much more features arriving in each newly available version.
SpellingTiles allows you to efficiently split inputted words into separate letters in minimal time.
Drag and drop tiles from the center onto the center of other tiles to allow tiles to either snap to the left or the right side of the desired tile.
SpellingTiles allows users to quickly randomize words in a click of a button enabling a variety of phonic activities.
Meet Happy. If a word is correctly spelled, Happy will let you know. Happy will also alert you if he detects a word has been misspelled.
SpellingTiles has a pen tool to allow students to either use a mouse or a touch screen computer to draw out write out words. At this time we are limited 4 colours.
Depending on the length of the inputted word, tiles will dynamically change size to accommodate for extra letters.
SpellingTiles allows users to toggle the visibility of tiles both during generation and in building words.
Tiles automatically snap to a neat line which can be additionally customized into syllables.
If needed, you can switch the background of the program to a darker tone to help students focus on tiles.
Individual tiles can be hidden separately from other tiles. Simply select a tile which is not connected to any other tiles and click it twice.
